GLORIA REVISITS THE DENTIST
Dear FOG (Friends Of Gloria)
Just last week I got a reminder letter telling me it was time to see the Dentist again!
Gordon got the same, but that’s a different story.

Typed by receptionist Sarah, and signed by Aimie (Amy to her friends, I suppose) who is the practice Nurse.
Last time, you will remember, I went a day early and stayed the night in order not to be late for my appointment.
It seemed a good idea, so this time I did the same again, to settle comfortably in the store room.
Unexpectedly, in the morning there arrived an unexpected four-hour emergency.
Consequently I politely stood back (or at least sat back) for a day with the result that I was there, camping overnight, not one but two days early for my appointment!
Now don’t quote me but I suspect the real reason for the invitation was so that they could show me the change to the special new red equipment and decorations. See the red wall, and chairs. You will see later that they have even changed to a red clock, even if it is out of sight from the clients!
Meet the lovely, jolly, friendly, helpful Aimie.

For your benefit I have sat across the bench at first, to let you see the red furniture. There isn’t so much of it uncovered after one is well spread out.

Incidentally we can even see the clock there on the background, above the red window.

After I lay back it didn’t really take Christo long to decide that there wasn’t much change from last time, but they were very nice about it.
I suspect they also wanted to repay me for the advertising which I did outside for them last August.
After my appointment I was just perfectly happy to relax at their piano.
Naturally clients are perfectly welcome to strum a few bars on the Grand while they compose themselves in the waiting room, according to their mood on arrival. Not so likely when departing.
Before very confidently helping me down the stairs Aimie took time (using my red glasses) to draw attention to the wall with all the giant red poppies.

I notice she has acquired an engagement ring since last my last visit.

Now they have got to tidy up and prepare for the next customer, who is going to find me sitting there when she goes into the waiting room!
Good fun for all!
With lots of love, from Gloria.
